One can never be sure how things will go. Will the car survive?…will we be OK……? We have certainly made the effort to be prepared. We have taken our vaccinations against everything conceivable. Including the various “Delhi Belly” medications that I hope we never need. The car has had a thorough mechanical vetting. But the challenges we might face remain unknown.
One of the steps along the path of ‘preparation’ was taken in early summer when we took the Bentley out for a shake-out drive in the English countryside. We drove the car to the north Dales of Yorkshire and the adjacent lake country. The idea was to see that all systems were operational and to literally ’shake’ everything to see what would fall off. Better to have the bits fly off in the English countryside than on a goat path in Nepal!!
I thought we would share some of the pictures we took while on that test drive and compare them with pictures of the route we will be on in India-Nepal. See if you can tell which ones were taken where?…………...
